MobileFax and MobileData enables you to enhance your connectivity, via a GSM Fax/Data card connected to your PC.
You will be able to send e-mails, faxes, and surf the Internet while you’re on the move. To make use of this service however, specialised equipment is required and varies depending on the type of handset you use. Primarily you would need the following: |

A compatible cellphone
A cellphone that does not require any additional sofware to send and receive faxes. |

Infrared connectivity
Some cellphones come standard with an infrared function that enables the user to connect to a laptop computer, without the need of cables. The relevant sofware that enables connection to a laptop needs to be installed, as this differs from cellphone to cellphone. |

Serial cable connectivity
Cellphones that do not have infrared connectivity can be connected to a laptop or desktop computer by means of a cellphone specific serial cable.The relevant software that enables connection to a laptop needs to be installed, as this differs from cellphone to cellphone.
This will enable the user to make use of MTC’s fax and data service. In order to make use of the fax and data functionality, users need to subscribe to the services, which MTC will assign accordingly. |

Provided that you are within cellular network coverage,
MobileFax enables you to send and receive faxes with the necessary computer hardware. |

MobileData
Provided that you are within cellular network coverage, MobileData enables you to send and receive e-mails and surf the Internet with the necessary computer hardware.
Please note that the band rate supported is only 9600bps. |
