WINDHOEK, 25 JANUARY - The country’s leading mobile operator, MTC is proud to announce that it is sponsoring the broadcast of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Tournament on NBC Television, after lengthy tripartite negotiations between itself, the public broadcaster and the broadcast rights holders. MTC’s sponsorship totals N$550,000 of the total broadcast package.

MTC’s Netman 4G TV commercial took 2nd place at the 5th Annual Africacom 2012 Awards Gala dinner held in Cape Town on November 14, 2012. The Netman 4G TV commercial was shortlisted in what seemed to be the group of death, in the Best Marketing Campaign category. The accolade is not just for MTC but it speaks volumes about the creativity of the Namibian people and MTC as a truly inventive and rousing Namibian company.

Infant steps towards the 2013 Namibian Annual Music Awards (NAMAS) were taken on December 5, 2012, when organizers of the prestigious event MTC and the NBC engaged artist and the music labels during information sharing session in Windhoek.
